Back in November, Professor Carlo Leifert hosted a Question and Answer session about the quality of organic food study as part of NEFG’s Celebration of Potatoes.
The session began with a thorough explanation of the methods of data analysis for the study.
Professor Leifert then explained the three main findings from the study.
- Organic crops contain more antioxidants than conventional crops
- Conventional crops have higher cadmium content than organic crops
- Conventional crops have higher levels of pesticide residues than organic crops
